SINTOURDIA - For a sustainable tourism in the Far North Region SINTOURDIA stands for Syndicat d'Initiative de Tourisme du Diamaré and is an association which promotes an authentic and sustainable tourism in the Cameroonian region Far North. SINTOURDIA has been founded by the tourist industry of the Far North in 2008 with the support of the Dutch development organization SNV. Since 2009, SINTOURDIA is supported by the German program for decentralization and local development (DED/GTZ/KfW): PADDL Extrême-Nord. The SINTOURDIA office is located in Maroua, Pitoaré on the area of the City Council (Communauté Urbaine de Maroua). Nadège SALLI leads the office in cooperation with experts of the German Development Service (DED). The office is on the one hand responsible for organizational and administrative matters of SINTOURDIA, but also serves as an information point for tourists. |
