What you should take with you to Cameroon depends entirely on your personal travel style. Most things you can buy much cheaper in Cameroon. The lighter your luggage is all the better, for sure you will find many souvenirs on your trip that you would like to take home. In general, you can take on flights to Cameroon/Chad two pieces à 23 kg and hand luggage.

The following items are recommended:

Medicaments (you can consult your doctor and pharmacist, just keep in mind that almost all medications are available and much cheaper in Cameroon)

Insect repellent (rarely available in Cameroon)

Impregnated mosquito net

Light clothing: long, loose clothing is recommended- the best protection against sunburn and insect bites

Hiking boots or solid shoes (light but durable material)

Sunglasses, hat or scarf

Sunscreen (high factor))

for a trip during the rainy season: rain jacket, umbrella

Camera, binoculars

Torch

Pocket knife
