Ecotourism - sustainable travel

SINTOURDIA's goal is the establishment of a sustainable tourism in the Far North region, that means a tourism that puts economic, environmental and social considerations into account. We ask you to follow a few simple rules:

Do not give gifts to children in the form of sweets, pens, etc. You avoid that children are sent to beg.

YOU are a guest in Cameroon. Adapt your behavior and your clothing to the conditions. Be considerate and show respect.

For tourists accessible villages like Rhumsiki or Oudjilla could appear less authentic, but you should remember that it's better to get an impression here rather than visit villages which are sofar from tourism untouched.

Ask people before you photograph them.

Try to consume local products and refrain from imported goods.
